Meet your EMDR therapist
Meet your EMDR therapist
Hi, I'm Paige...
A EMDR therapist in North Carolina and South Carolina.
I work with perfectionists, people pleasers, and anyone carrying the burden of trauma, whether recent or long past.
If you feel stuck in old patterns, disconnected from yourself, or like you’re always trying to feel “good enough,” you are not alone. You don’t have to do it all by yourself.
My Story
Let’s be honest...
Being human is a lot.
Some days feel heavy. Some seasons stretch you. And sometimes, it’s just plain unfair.
I’m in my 30s, and like many of the folks I work with, I know what it’s like to feel burned out, anxious, or like you’re the one holding everything together even when it’s hard.
As a certified EMDR therapist, I use a structured approach that goes deeper than talk therapy.
EMDR helps your brain and body process what you’ve been carrying, so you’re not stuck in it anymore.
You don’t need to have it all figured out.
You just need to show up.
I’ll meet you there, with clinical skill, curiosity, compassion, and a little humor when it fits.
Therapy with me is real, grounded, and honest.
I’ll support you, challenge you when it’s helpful, and walk with you as you move toward feeling more like yourself again not because you need fixing, but because you deserve to feel whole.
Why I Became a Therapist
I’ve always been curious about people — why we act the way we do, how we get through hard things, and how we make sense of it all.
I started my career in mental health as a recreation therapist after earning my BA from UNCW. I worked in inpatient hospitals like UNC’s Neuroscience Hospital, where I saw just how vital connection and coping skills are for all of us.
Later, I worked in a prison near San Francisco (including on death row) and that gave me a whole new perspective on resilience, boundaries, and the human capacity for change.
I earned my Master’s in Social Work from UCF and trained in grief counseling, hospice care, and suicide prevention. Over the years, I’ve sat with people during some of the hardest chapters of their lives.
Now, in private practice, I bring that same presence, grounding, and clinical skill to our sessions.
EMDR has become one of the most powerful tools in my work.
Whether we’re exploring attachment wounds, childhood trauma, or a recent event that turned your world upside down, we’ll move at your pace with clarity, compassion, and support.
Specialties
Who I Work With
I work with adults virtually throughout the Triangle and across North Carolina. Many of the people who reach out to me have spent years putting everyone else’s needs before their own.
People-pleasers and perfectionists
You’re great at showing up for others — now it’s time to show up for you. Together, we’ll work on boundaries, self-worth, and finding your authentic voice.
Adult survivors of trauma
Whether your pain comes from attachment wounds, childhood neglect, betrayal, or a single overwhelming event, we’ll work gently and at your pace to heal what’s still affecting you.
Professionals and caregivers
If you’re running on empty, EMDR intensives can help you process burnout, overwhelm, and compassion fatigue so you can find relief and reconnect with yourself.
Why EMDR?
EMDR is different.
It’s fast, targeted, and deeply effective. Instead of just talking about your struggles, EMDR helps your brain reprocess what’s been stuck so it doesn’t keep replaying.
As a certified EMDR therapist, I’ve seen this approach help clients find real, lasting shifts with:
Childhood or relational wounds
Single moments of shock, loss, or grief
Chronic anxiety or people-pleasing patterns
Burnout and emotional exhaustion
If you’re tired of feeling stuck under the weight of old patterns or expectations, EMDR can help you move forward with more freedom, clarity, and ease.
